Women's Ministry

We strive for our women's ministry to be a community of women who gather to fellowship, mentor, and connect in a safe, supportive environment.  We seek to provide women the opportunity to study God’s Word and to offer opportunities to serve others. Doing all of this together, as the body of Christ, builds unity, encourages growth, and develops relationships. Our women's ministry aims to provide safe places where women can find biblically sound support and opportunities for Christian friendships to form and mature. We make every effort to serve our church family under the oversight of our Elders.

Girls, Gals and Grannies

| Lizzie Price | Women's Ministry
Girls, Gals and Grannies is a reoccurring event where ladies of all ages can come for a fellowship time to learn how to create an edible dish together. We have made a variety of items from sweet treats to hearty meals. It’s a great way for everyone to learn new recipes they may have never had the chance to try beforehand. It’s also a lovely way for the different age groups to come together and learn from one another. During the event, step-by-step instruction is given on how to create the dish chosen. Girls, gals and grannies - no matter the age - all work hand...

Ladies Retreat 2018 - October 12th - 14th

| Aspen Kuenning | Women's Ministry
Be Our Guest      "....seek to show hospitality."  - Romans 12:13      This October we are going to open God's word and see what it has to say about our need to practice hospitality.  The thought of practicing hospitality can make many of us feel inadequate.  Perhaps surprisingly to some, Christian hospitality has little to do with elegant platters of food and refined dinnerware.  It goes so much deeper.  Join us as we delve into God's word to see the beauty of hospitality building up Christ's church and the joy of serving and loving ...

April Ladies Encouragement Group

| Aspen Kuenning | Women's Ministry
It's almost the beginning of April and time to think about who in our church family needs some special encouragement in the next month.  It's been wonderful  having more participation in this ministry, now that the ladies' ministry has been re-organized.  There are some great things happening, all over the place!  A few of you have asked me if we are still planning to meet at our regularly-scheduled times (the first Thursday of the month and the following Sunday).  The answer is "Yes."  I figured that if I rescheduled, it could get confusing and throw things of...

Ladies Retreat 2018

| Aspen Kuenning | Women's Ministry
This October we were blessed to gather as women to study, sing, fellowship, and enjoy a time of retreat from this busy world we live in.     Our guest speaker was Chantelle Swayne.  She is a minister's wife and work-at-home mum.  While being Australian-born and bred, Chantelle now lives in Anchorage, Alaska. Her lessons on hospitality were very encouraging, challenging, motivating, and scriptural. We also had a great time getting to know each other better.

Valley Ladies’ Retreat 2017

| Carol Kuenning | Women's Ministry
Each October the ladies from the Valley look forward to our special time to retreat from the world. We spend nearly 24 hours together singing, praying, listening, discussing, fellowshipping, sharing, crafting, eating and sometimes sleeping. This year our Ladies’ Retreat, which was held on October 20-21, had the theme “God is Able” taken from Ephesians 3:20. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” This powerful little verse packs a huge punch when applied to our walk as Christians. Throughout the years we...
